Ndi-Anambra and all residents in Anambra have continued to applaud the recent extreme measures being taken by Governor Chukwuma Soludo against criminal gangs that are unrelenting in their desperation to maintain their very lucrative criminal enterprise and expand their frontier in the state.
Having prioritized the safety of citizens and all residents in Anambra, securing their lives, properties, businesses and environment since inception in office, Soludo has before now deepened consultations, engagements and dialogues among critical stakeholders inorder to return normalcy, and everyone goes about freely within its environment without fear.
Despite the above, the criminals have continued to desecrate the culture, and in a drastic measure to end the spate spilling of the blood of the innocent which is considered an abomination by the people’s culture and by the Christian religion, Soludo has sent a warning message to communities harboring these miscreants in their various domains, houses, bushes and forest. The government will ensure that any land found to be harboring these criminals are revoked and acquired, while community leaders and landlords who are accomplices will properly be sanctioned according to the laws of the land.
Community and market leaders, and stakeholders across Anambra communities must rise up and take responsibility in taking back their territory and monitor the activities in their environment. Security is everyone’s business and requires collective effort. If we must achieve the liveable and prosperous homeland, communities must return weekly security reports to the State Government.
